Starting last Thursday Zoey was sick with the flu...getting sick the most at night (of course) which meant for little time for sleep for me. Well, now I've been hit with what I assumed would be the flu but after sleeping pretty much the entire day away both yesterday and today and then looking in the mirror this evening at my sore and throbbing throat and discovering my tonsils are covered with white, mishapened polka-dots, I'm thinking a visit to the doctor is in order. I'll be bringing Zoey along for good measure for them to just take a look to make sure she is in the clear and is in good health herself. Being sick in the summer is just plain not fun. This of course is the week when I have projects for CHA due, classes to teach at my lss, an upcoming scrapbooking workshop to plan for and plans to camp out with the family this weekend. Errrrrrrrr...
The positives (if there have to be any) is getting a vanilla malt from Ethan along with a little extra care and reading (in one sitting mind you) The Mighty Queens of Freeville by Amy Dickinson. A really endearing book and perfect for summer reading.
Oh, I feel for you. I hope you're up and around soon. I know this is not how you intended to "slow" down and spend more time with your family.
I hope you and Zoey are back to fun times soon! There is nothing worse than being sick in the summer. It just makes it worse than normal. Take care!

Ackk Kelsey and I started the summer with that flu. No fun is right! Hope you are feeling better soon. Let Zoey take the camera over while you re-cover. I'm sure she will get some great shots for you to scrap.
