The other night I was on Facebook and just happened upon a LIVE with Vicki Boutin and I enjoyed watching her put together two layouts using her new Storyteller collection from American Crafts. I got some of the Storyteller papers from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine (they send goodie boxes your way when getting published in an issue) and I got the itch to play with the papers right away!I'm kind of questioning the background paper (it's by Amy Tangerine/AC - everything else is Storyteller) but I'm going to keep things as is. I want the whole Storyteller collection now though! I love the somewhat bohemian look and feel to the colors and the designs. It kind of reminds me of some of the older Basic Grey collections which I loved and miss dearly! Lots more pages I could put together using these pretty combinations!
Kind of cool when you can get inspiration for a project like this...one that allows for play. Watching Vicki's video reminded me of why I started scrapbooking a looooooong time ago. It was for the fun of it. The playing around and the creativity that it allowed for. As well as for documenting stories and moments. It's funny but these papers really got me feeling nostalgic for the good old days when it was just blogs and message boards. Maybe because it reminds me a bit of BG and that was big during that time? Not sure. Love it!
