Christmas 2015

12.26.2015

[Post written and posted 10/21/16 after Zoey informed me that we hadn't posted Christmas 2015 photos on my blog. Yikes!]

It was a white Christmas after all...it was so nice to see some freshly fallen snow on the branches of the trees on Christmas Eve Day.

This was a busier year than in the past for some reason...we were decorating our sugar cookies as you can see at the very last minute. Zoey was determined to have Santa get some of our cut-out cookies!

And he came all right! It was a magical night...and the morning was even more so!

Zoey got up around 5:30am to check out the tree. She is one determined little girl! She dragged Leo out of bed too...which is no easy feat. He's a lazy and sleepy pup!

Here are some pictures from our Christmas Day...

The day after Christmas we went sledding at an area sledding hill that is pretty awesome. It was so very cold though...our faces are all bright pink!

It was a very nice Christmas this year at home. And I will never, ever...ever forget to post our Christmas photos again. I promise Zoey!

Christmas Cards!

12.22.2015

I've been waiting to share some of my Christmas cards created using the Birds of a Feather kit for December. The kit is so beautiful and made it so easy to whip up some holiday cards this year!

A bit of goodness from October Afternoon's Under the Tree collection and Basic Grey's Juniper Berry collection...swoon!

If you have some scrapbooking to do yet or some holiday parties yet to attend you should snatch up one of the December kits for yourself to create with soon, before it sells out.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my creations with this month's kit...it would be so easy to re-create these cards exactly as they are if you so desire.

And I created this one tag...love those plastic bows by Elizabeth Kartchner!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Cute Stamps Anything Goes Challenge

12.19.2015

I had fun creating this bookmark using the Adorkable stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps for the Anything Goes challenge this month.

I know lots of people that love books and reading so this will be a fun little addition to some gift I'll be giving this month.

1.  The project must follow the monthly theme.  A Pretty Cute Stamp must be used to create the project.
2.  Please link to your actual blog post...not to your blog.  If you don't have a blog, you can add a photo of your project to the current Monthly Challenge photo folder in the Pretty Cute  Facebook Group.
3.  You can enter as many different projects that follow the monthy theme as you want for more chances to win.
4.  The challenge will run for 3 weeks.  You must link up your project by 11:55 pm CST on the Saturday...3 weeks after the start of the challenge, January 2.
5.  One random winner of a $15 Gift Certificate to PCS will be chosen.  The winner will be announced when the next challenge starts.

Good luck!!

Birds of a Feather Blog Hop

12.12.2015

Welcome to the Birds of a Feather Holiday Blog Hop! If you have been following the hop, you should have been directed here from Brenshevia's blog. Next, please stop by Sarah's blog. If you want to follow the entire Blog Hop, just hop on over to the Birds of a Feather Kit Company blog and start at the beginning. Follow the links on each blog until you get to the end!

(Sharing a favorite layout using a past Birds of a Feather kit.)

If you decide to Blog Hop with us, there are a couple of prizes up for grabs. The BIG prize (this one will go to one lucky winner who visits each blog AND leaves a comment at each one) is your choice of one of the Birds of a Feather kits! In addition, at each blog stop you will find a challenge posted by one of the design team members. For each challenge that you complete and share with us on our Blog, you will receive an additional entry into the free kit drawing AND your name will be entered into a separate drawing for a $20 gift certificate to the Birds of a Feather Kit Co. boutique. The deadline for sharing your projects with us is next Saturday, December 19.

Now for my challenge...if you so desire you may participate in the challenges posted along the way on the blog hop. Mine is a color challenge...I challenge you to create a layout featuring 99% of it focusing on three colors only. Here is my layout for the challenge:

Remember, if you finish up the Hop...that is, you visit each BOAF' Scrap Chick's blog and leave a message (along with a message on the Birds of a Feather Kit Co. blog) you will be entered into a drawing for a chance at the free Birds of a Feather Kit Co. kit. Don't forget, for any layout/project that you complete that is based on a Scrap Chick's challenge, we will throw your name in the hat for an additional chance at the free kit and a add you to the drawing for the Gift Certificate.

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!
