At the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado: PART 1

It was amazing, un-real, surreal, crazy, wicked cool to be able to visit this place. In this post are the photos of the Red Rocks taken while we were there earlier in the day exploring the site before the concert in the evening. They had trails that you could hike and a gift shop as well as a museum.

A couple of facts, the monoliths on either side of the stage are named Ship Rock and Creation Rock. There were 193 steps from the stage to the top of the amphitheater. Mind you, that does not count the elevation of driving up to a place where we could park, and hiking up to where the steps started and then the steps that went from that point up to the actual stage. Every dozen or so steps there was a heart monitor and oxygen...no joke. It was INSANE! And so very amazing! I will share photos from the evening of the concert in my next post.
